Please find below a list of our important school dates. You can also look at our school calendar section for the school holidays for the current and next year.

2nd October - Positive Psychology Day: This year instead of a themed week, we are having a blocked Positive Psychology day. Pupils will spend all day learning about: how to be happy, how to make positive relationships, give and receive compliments and how to manage negative feelings.

5th October - York Art Gallery Trip: Class 2 are visiting York Art Gallery today as part of their art curriculum.

9th October - Skipping Workshop: Class 2 will spend the afternoon in a skipping workshop today. They will begin to prepare for a skipping festival later in the school year.

10th October - Digital Leaders' Trip: Our Digital Leaders will visit the Apple Store in Leeds, enhancing their IT knowledge, which they will then be able to share with other pupils.

11th October - Cross-country Competition: A team from years 4, 5 and 6 will compete this afternoon in the first round of the Leeds Cross-Country Competition.

13th October- St Edward's Feast Day

19th October - YF Welcome Liturgy: Parents of YF are warmly invited into school from 2pm to celebrate a Welcome Liturgy for the Foundation pupils. Father Newman will lead the liturgy and YF's buddies will support them at the event.

19th October - Athletics Competition: After school today, some of our Y5 and Y6 pupils will compete in a local schools' athletics competition.


1st November - Feast of All Saints

9th November - Big Sing Liturgy Thing: Class 5 will spend the day with pupils from other Catholic schools at the Big Sing.

13th November - European Day: Today is our annual European Day; pupils will learn about the culture of a European country and complete lots of cross-curricular work on this theme. Week of

20th November: Assessment Week


12th December - Advent Presentation: Performances at 2pm and 7pm.

15th December - Card-making day: Pupils will make Christmas cards for all of our parishioners.

19th December - Senior Parishioners Christmas Party: All of our grandparents and senior parishioners are invited into school for our annual Christmas party from 2pm today.

20th December - Children's Christmas Party.

21st December - Christmas Dinner in school.

22nd December - School closes at 2.30pm.
